Police Stun Guns May Be Any One of a Number of Devices

When the law enforcement personnel respond to a call, it would depend on the severity of the call whether they show up like a SWAT team with guns and rifles or maybe they will show up with their hand on a police stun gun. You wouldn’t want to shoot a guy just because he and his wife were having a “domestic” quarrel, but you might want to use 50,000 volts from a police stun gun to take him down and be able to put the cuffs on him.

Sometimes a police stun gun may be a reference to a TASER product, which is actually a device that shoots two little prongs or darts out of it. These little darts travel up to 15 feet through the air, and are connected by two thin wires back to the unit. After they penetrate the perpetrator’s clothing, the unit delivers a huge amount of electricity through those very wires, and into the body of the guy, and then he gets taken down, just as if a stun gun was touched to his torso for a few seconds.

The police stun guns whether stun batons, traditional stun gun type, or even TASER products, can also be purchased in most states, by most Americans, and they make a great self defense item, just to ensure that you will have something to fight back with if you are ever the target of a criminal!

Police stun guns are not just for police (except in certain circumstances where a manufacturer may have one or two models that are exclusively for law enforcement) and you can get one, too!
