Police Response Scenario

Posted on | August 4, 2009 | No Comments

When police departments send someone to respond to a call, they often do not know just exactly what they can expect. Sometimes the person calling the 911 operator may be able to effectively tell the story of what is happening and why the police are needed. Though sometimes the call is made by a child, because the mom and dad are really fighting. When the officers arrive, they may not need to use firearms, as the couple are not even armed themselves, however because of an adrenaline rush, the guy, who doesn’t want to be apprehended, rushes right out of the house, and plans to break through the few officers that were just approaching the front door or porch.

He is running out of the house like a football player trying to run past the players of the opposing team. The police don’t want to shoot him with a gun, but they do need to stop him, and the TASER product, or the ordinary Stun Gun, would be the ideal way to bring him to his knees. After they have subdued him, they have a chance while he is lying on the ground in a disoriented, confused state, to find out from the wife, neighbor, or any eye witnesses just exactly what was happening before they arrived. This is just one of many possible scenarios why law enforcement might want to use a stun device when there is a problem.
