Well, there is a great self defense item that is non-lethal, reasonably priced, legal in most of the United States, and will make a potential attacker think twice about hurting you. This great self defense item is a stun device. Your choice of a stun device may be a stun gun, a stun baton, or even a stun gun disguised as cell phone.

Stun guns are battery operated or come in a rechargeable model, and they give a huge electrical shock to the person who is attacking you. Just press a button, touch the two prongs to their body and down they go. Their nervous system gets overwhelmed by all of this electricity therefore causing them to be disabled and giving someone a chance to run for help.

Of course, we all hope that we will never need to use a self defense item but it is still good to carry one just in case! Even so, by having a self defense item like a stun gun, you will be prepared and have peace of mind.

When a person gets attacked and is wise enough to have planned ahead, it is a real blessing. Some might carry a knife or a handgun, but others like having a non-lethal form of self defense by their side. Baton Stun Guns are a great choice for self defense. These are larger and longer than an ordinary stun gun, giving someone a little more distance between them and their attacker.

The Baton Stun Guns have a nice handle and a long section of the baton where the electricity is deployed. They will really knock an assailant off his feet. They also have metal strip down the sides, so that if the attacker tries to grab the baton, they will get a good zap. They can be kept in a holster and worn on the belt, or they can be kept in a book bag, gym bag, briefcase or pocketbook!

Baton Stun Guns come in a variety of sizes and strengths, and are ideal for many people who would like to have a good form of personal protection, just in case something happens!

There are folks who don’t really feel that they need or want a self defense product. Then there are those who might work at a job, or attend a school, where they are not supposed to carry any sort of weapon. The Mini Stun Baton might be a good alternative for them. It can quietly and comfortably be concealed in a pocketbook or bag, and no one has to know that you have it.

Perhaps on the way to a parking lot, after work or school, a person gets attacked and the use of the mini stun baton might save their life. Why let an employer’s rules let you be unarmed and like a “sitting duck,” as they say? Just because the school has to have rules about students and dangerous items, why let that make you a potential victim?

The mini stun baton is powerful, and will still make an assailant drop to their knees and be disabled for more than enough minutes for you to get away and escape to safety! The mini stun baton is not expensive at all, and can really come in handy under certain circumstances!

Picture a person walking down the street, minding their own business, and all of a sudden, another person pops out of nowhere to rob them. A stun baton would sure surprise the heck out of the attacker. A stun baton is just like a stun gun, only it has a handle and is shaped like a Billy club. It can be kept in a holster and worn on a person’s belt, or even carried in a book bag, brief case, or large pocket book.

The stun baton is a brilliant idea, especially for someone who wants to be able to stun an attacker without having to get too close to the person. Imagine extending your arm forward and being able to poke them with a ten or fifteen inch long stun baton.

Another nice feature is that most of the length of the baton is metallic and also conducts the electricity that stuns. So an attacker about to get stunned is not likely to grab the baton with his hands, because it will be crackling and the electric current will be flowing.

Often, a stun baton might even include a holster, making it easier to carry on a belt, or to conceal under a car seat. The stun baton could bring peace of mind to somebody, even if they never have to use it for protection.

When thugs or crooks are about to jump a person who is just walking along by themselves, do the attackers know that these days, the target or victim might be carrying something for self defense? It may be a pepper spray, or even a stun gun, OR it might be a Stun Gun Baton, which gives greater reach!

You have seen a baton or a “Billy” club. It almost looks like a miniature baseball bat, and they are usually black and made out of a very hard substance. This could do some damage as it is, and these have been used by law enforcement for over a hundred years. They are especially good for crowd control situations. Well now, thanks to modern technology we have stun gun batons…they look just like a baton, but they are battery operated, and they pack a wallop when it comes to stunning power. They usually have a much higher voltage than the stun guns and other stun devices of days gone by.

So the next time you glance out the window at the lady from down the block who is walking her dog, you may see her produce a stun gun baton from under her coat and shock the heck out of the thug who mistakenly tries to hassle her or take her wallet!

Also, remember that self defense items such as stun gun batons, and pepper sprays make an awesome gift for someone that you care about.
